SPOTLIGHT ON: Elaine Maher – Global Brand Director for Quintessential Brands 2 mins read Business & Work Elaine Maher is the Global Brand Director of Quintessential Brands, where we source the amazing Bloom Gins for our packages. Gins are one of our most popular products. They taste incredible and are perfect to accompany some snacks, books or just other ‘TLC’ products. This month we are putting the spotlight on some of our suppliers and sharing stories of how their business came about and how they have coped during a pandemic. Tell us a bit about yourself? I joined Quintessential Brands and the BLOOM gin brand as the Brand Director over two years ago and have been loving life since! My previous world was in Whiskey so its great to work on a brand I love and enjoy drinking! How has the pandemic impacted your business? We have suffered like many businesses due to COVID with the closure of the on-trade, but we have been quick to embrace change and adapt where we can. Working from home has become the new normal and teams meetings and zoom quizzes have been the lifeblood to how we have remained connected. Whilst it hasn’t been easy, I am really pleased to see how well we have all adapted to our new world and how well we have managed to stay positive and motivated – I am excited for the coming months ahead with plans (albeit adapted somewhat) starting to take shape and consumer confidence beginning to grow. We have a really exciting campaign on BLOOM Gin we have been working on in the background too. A lot of our packages are sent for people going through something, whether that’s illness or a break up or a tough time at work. What’s your go-to product or thing to do when you’re feeling the need for TLC? Sounds cheesy, but its having either a glass of wine or gin and tonic (😊 ) with some snacks and dips at home with the girls, so we can all have a good moan together – a problem shared is a problem halved after all! A really thoughtful thing someone has done for you? My sister bought me a my favourite Disney film on DVD to remind me that my prince is still out there! Your toughest challenge? Climbing Machu Picchu in January of this year. What makes you laugh? I love to laugh so it doesn’t take much….my nickname is giggles! Words to live by? Try everything once, regret nothing. Complete this sentence: I wish… I could slow down time so I could do more of what I enjoy with the people I love. And finally, given the madness of the last few months, how are you? I’m doing really well actually, working from home permanently with my housemate who is doing the same has its challenges at times, but we have kept ourselves entertained with regular cocktail evenings and plenty of Netflix binges! Find out more about Bloom Gins here. Check out our instagram for this weeks giveaway which includes three bottles of Bloom Gin and some delicious snacks.
