Frequently Asked Questions

If you can’t find an answer in our Frequently Asked Questions, please use the form to send us an email and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Where is my order?
You will receive an email confirmation when you place an order (please check your junk inbox if it doesn't arrive) and a second email when we have confirmation from the courier that your package has been delivered. For help tracking your order contact us at info@dontbuyherflowers.com
What are the delivery timescales?

If you have any delivery queries or your gift is urgent/for delivery by a specific date such as a birthday, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

All parcels are automatically marked 'Leave with a neighbour' - experience has shown us that most people would prefer their parcel to be left somewhere rather than returned to the depot. This can be amended at the check out, including adding a safe place - please provide as much information as possible in order to help our couriers deliver your parcel quickly.

Standard Delivery (3-5 days)

For UK standard delivery, packages will be delivered by myHermes couriers. If you want to send a parcel outside of the UK, contact us on info@dontbuyherflowers.com and we will look in to the options with you. We have sent our packages all over the world so can let you know costs and some restrictions (ie aerosols - so the dry shampoo - cannot be sent outside the UK)

UK delivery will usually be within 3-5 working days from order*. We will aim to process your order in a quicker time wherever possible. The courier will make three attempts at delivery, usually over three consecutive days, leaving details of how to arrange redelivery if no one is in.

Next Day Delivery

Next Day Delivery orders need to be placed by midday to arrive between 7am and 8pm the following day. Deliveries are Monday to Friday only, so orders placed after midday on Thursday will be delivered on Monday.

Next Day delivery orders will be sent with DPD. The sender will be notified by email by DPD of any delivery updates, including a time slot on the day of delivery. We don't use the recipient's details as in most cases they aren't expecting a delivery and it would lead to confusion (or ruin the surprise!).

3 attempts will be made and if not successful the parcel will be taken to the local pick up point and a card will be left letting customer know all the relevent details.

Next day delivery is currently unavailable on international deliveries.

International Delivery

Deliveries to ROI will be carried out by MyHermes, with the same restrictions and delivery details as our Standard Delivery. COOK vouchers are unavailable for delivery outside the UK.

Additional information

For non-domestic addresses, please supply as much information as possible. Some hospitals or workplaces may have restricted entry to wards or office departments and if the courier cannot gain entry the parcel may be returned to us. Delays can occur with patients moving wards or being discharged from hospital, or businesses unable to receive deliveries at weekends. Our priority is to get your order safely in the hands of the recipient; contact info@dontbuyherflowers.com for further help.

*Delivery to remote areas such as the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight may take up to 7 working days.

**COOK deliveries are UK only and also cannot deliver to the Isle of Man and some postal areas in the Highlands of Scotland.

I want to send to multiple addresses
The best way to do this is as separate orders. If you register with Don't Buy Her Flowers your details will be saved, making future orders super quick. If you make one order with multiple packages, these will be sent out to one delivery address. If you want each package sent to a different address, you will need to make each order separately.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
We deliver to UK and ROI, and can deliver to other destinations by request. Please contact us on info@dontbuyherflowers.com and we can provide the options and additional postage cost with you. Please note that aerosols (dry shampoo) can not be sent overseas and there may be other restrictions depending on the destination.
I need a package to arrive quickly/by a specific date
We offer a Next Day Delivery service for orders before midday (delivery Monday to Friday only), and will always do our best to help if you need a package delivered quickly. Please email us on info@dontbuyherflowers.com with the details.
My parcel has arrived damaged
Contact orders@dontbuyherflowers.com with the following details: Order number (if available), name, address
Can the delivery be left in a safe place?
The courier can leave your parcel in a 'safe place', allowing the courier to deliver your parcel even if the recipient is not in. It should be dry and secured from public access but still easily accessible to our courier. Typical examples include a shed, greenhouse or porch. You can choose this option at checkout, but should check with the recipient of the package first.
How do I reschedule a delivery?
Your courier will automatically make three attempts to deliver your parcel, usually on consecutive days, before returning the parcel to the depot to await further instructions. If you have missed the first attempt, they will leave a card notifying you of the next delivery date. In most cases, your courier will leave a contact number so you can get in touch directly to reschedule a delivery For help tracking your order contact contact us at orders@dontbuyherflowers.com If you need to change or add any address details, you will need to contact us at orders@dontbuyherflowers.com

Why are parcels automatically marked 'Leave with a neighbour'?
